SSN-SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER

A Social Security Number is a nine digit unique number given by the social security administration to permanent residents, citizens and temporary working residents in United States. In November 1936, the first social security number was issued as a part of the New Deal social security program. SSN is issued in three different types. Cardholders name and number are available in all types of SSN. It is used for personal identification to track records and almost all paper work, whether it is income tax, bank account, driving license or telephone connection. It is necessary when getting a job or studying in the United States.
