DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME

Daylight Saving Time (DST) is also called “summer time” in United States. It is a method to advance the time by one hour, in order to artificially expand the daylight hours. DST begins at 2 am on the first Sunday in April. Clocks are set forward by one hour in April and are set back by one hour in October. Each time zone switches at a different time accordingly. One of the biggest reasons for changing clocks to Daylight Saving Time (DST) is that it saves energy. By moving the clock ahead by one-hour, people can cut the amount of electricity they consume each day.
